I thought of you today.
I saw a certain car that looked so much like your car,
I couldn't help thinking of you.
When I think about it,
It really wasn't blue,
In fact, it wasn't even close to the same color as your car.
For that matter, it wasn't the same year either,
It kinda looked like the same model, but...
Not really...
Actually, it wasn't even a Dodge!
And it didn't have the wing on the back...
Or the little charm on the mirror...
Or the right plate numbers...
It wasn't even from our state!
Well, Huh!
At the time, it made me think of you.
Isn't that odd?
God must have brought you to my mind.

ALYSA’S BLESSING
I pray you will have safe passage on the highways and byways as you make your way home.
I pray you will have a restful sleep filled with night-visions of Yahweh’s love for you.
I pray the Sabbath-Dawn will wake you with a smile on your face and a prayer in your heart.
I pray that you will experience Yahweh’s steadfast love that never ceases,
and that His wonderful mercies that are new every morning will feed your spirit like the manna that fed us in the desert.
May Yahweh bless you and keep you.
May Yahweh make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you.
May Yahweh turn His face toward you and give you peace.
WALK WITH GOD, MY FRIENDS--
SEE YA SOON!

I love drama! But not drama for drama's sake, rather 'drama' connections in real life. In literary terms, drama requires the main character to encounter conflicts and resolve them.
HOW REAL DOES THAT GET?
We can learn so much about our world, ourselves and our God by looking at those dramatic moments from history. One that has impacted me greeatly this year is the historical fiction novel, "The King's Shadow."
The 'king' in the book is the last Saxon king who ruled England for less than a year in 1066 a.d.
The 'shadow' is the young man who comes to him as nothing and ends up being adopted as son and heir to the king.
Gee, that's profound enough, but that's just the beginning and the end of the story.
I can't wait to tell you the middle!
The real story--probably has limited consequences for us today, but...
...the metaphor -- WOW! -- We all could stand to see ourselves as this 'Shadow' of the King of Kings!
Stay tuned!

This Blog will happen more consistently if I just talk to you in a casual, heart to heart manner. Let's call this the rough draft version. If you have any comments at all, it will help me to focus my thoughts better. This is a huge topic for me to break down.
"If you seek me, you will find me when you seek me with all your heart." God says in the old testament.
Are you seeking Him today? Even if you do not yet believe, you can seek Him with all your heart. He will show His greatness to you if you will turn to Him.
I have heard many stories from people who have asked God to show Himself. It seems that when we need Him the most~ when we have run out of strength ~when we can no longer do it ourseves~when we begin to see that we do, in fact, need God~ that' is when we are seeking Him with our whole heart.
My own story is similar.
In 1977, just short of my 14th birthday, my dad walked out on our family. I had never known that there was a problem, but I was told at that time that he had a girlfriend. The shock nearly killed me. Even though I had been raised in the Christian faith~even though I believed in Jesus as my Savior~I suddenly needed Him in a way I never had before.
Up until that day, all my needs had been met. Jesus forgave my sins, but I had never seen His power~never heard His voice.
That day, as I curled up in the downstairs family room with the oversized old family Bible, I prayed very simply, "God, I cannot do this by myself. I need You. Please help me."
My story will continue in the days ahead.
For now, my challenge to you is this:
Begin to look at your own needs realistically. None of us can do this life without God. At best, we live through the frustrations. At worst, the emotional turmoil and heartbreak becomes impossible to bear and we turn to anything that presents itself. What is your situation today? Would victory over your problems be just out of reach?
Jesus can give you the victory your heart is crying for.
Seek Him with all your heart and He will be found by you.

If you want to get a response from me, you call me by my name. It is the same with God. If you simply call out to "God" it is an ambiguous term-- much like calling out to "Mom" in a crowded grocery store with each mom assuming that you mean someone else.
There are many gods, in our world, but only one True God. If you want to meet the Real God, call on Him specifically. He wants you to recognize Him for who He really is.
To get you started, here are a few names He goes by:
Jesus Christ
Savior
Emmanuel
Jehovah
Try this prayer:
"Lord Jesus Christ. Make yourself real to me. Show me your saving grace. Bring your love, your light, and your life into my dark circumstances, and speak to me."
Now --watch and see what God will say to you.
ACTS 4:12
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Born and raised in a Christian home, I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal Savior quite early in life. By three, I knew I would serve Him in Christian Ministry. As a young teen, I felt the Holy Spirit directing and teaching me. I have always felt the companionship of Jesus Christ as He walks with me day and night. The reality of God – The Father, Son and Holy Spirit – is more real to me than those things which I can see with my eyes. Jesus is my strength, my light, my hope. Jesus makes each moment significant. He is my all in all.
